Multi-patch epidemic models with partial mobility, residency, and demography

چکیده

The emergence and re-emergence of infectious diseases has been a global cause concern in the past few decades. Previous research field revealed that human connectivity mobility behavior play major role spreading an disease. In this work, we propose multi-patch models take into account effects on evolution disease dynamics multi-population environment. particular, develop SEIRS multi-group epidemic models, extending work Bichara et al. (2015) Abderrahman (2018) to practically for distinct epidemiological-status-dependent mobilities each patch. We rigorously show free equilibria (DFE) both are stable when R0≤1. also prove have unique endemic asymptotically equilibrium R0>1. addition, introduce new local reproduction numbers from point view sub-populations, establish some important relation between them number. Various numerical simulations conducted study residence time matrix individual patches overall

Multi-patch and multi-group epidemic models: a new framework.

We develop a multi-patch and multi-group model that captures the dynamics of an infectious disease when the host is structured into an arbitrary number of groups and interacts into an arbitrary number of patches where the infection takes place. In this framework, we model host mobility that depends on its epidemiological status, by a Lagrangian approach. This framework is applied to a general S...

Chimera states in multi-strain epidemic models with temporary immunity.

We investigate a time-delayed epidemic model for multi-strain diseases with temporary immunity. In the absence of cross-immunity between strains, dynamics of each individual strain exhibit emergence and annihilation of limit cycles due to a Hopf bifurcation of the endemic equilibrium, and a saddle-node bifurcation of limit cycles depending on the time delay associated with duration of temporary...

Invasion, persistence and control in epidemic models for plant pathogens: the effect of host demography.

Many epidemiological models for plant disease include host demography to describe changes in the availability of susceptible tissue for infection. We compare the effects of using two commonly used formulations for host growth, one linear and the other nonlinear, upon the outcomes for invasion, persistence and control of pathogens in a widely used, generic model for botanical epidemics. The crit...
